Lit by Grandson Charlie 27th July 2016
It is simply hard to describe the impact one woman has had on so many individuals, including me. Through her, i have learnt love, compassion, humour, and the unbreakable quality of kindness which Nan demonstrated day by day. Testament to this was the outpour of positive energy that she exuded without fail, most often manifested in that bright, beaming smile which I so painfully miss. I assume it would be a great challenge to find such a person as this today; someone who exemplified all the key characteristics that each of us strive for in every day life yet did so with such ease. When it came to Nan, everyone was equal, and no one was forgotten. I will never forget being with you the night before you fell into a coma, enjoying your presence, before tucking you into bed, playing your favourite music, and bidding you farewell that one last time, just as I must do now. I love you Nan.
